Triathlon Man
On Sunday June 13, after weeks of training, our very own Creative Director – Phil took on the Nokia Windsor Olympic Distance Triathlon – one of the longest-standing, and most popular events on the triathlon calendar, and raised a fabulous £540 for a great charity.
Registration took place on Saturday where a nervous Phil left his new race bike racked overnight, along with around £2.5 Million of other assorted race bikes!
Having secured himself a place racing for Team Breast Cancer Care, Phil went onto complete his first Olympic Distance (1500m Swim – 00:38:11, 42km Bike – 01:14:34 and 10km Run – 00:47:42) in a solid total time of 2:44:36 – just inside his target time of 2:45:00 and setting a new personal best! All eyes are on Phil’s bid to break the 2:30:00 time at this years London Triathlon, on August 7.
There is a (very short) video clip of Phil crossing the line.
Number 1463 getting set up.
Getting ready to start the swim, that’s our Phil in the fetching white googles!
Swim done, time to wrestle out of that wetsuit.
Eating up the pack on the bike, another competitor gets chewed up and spat out!
Run lycra boy run!
Race done, a very happy Phil with a fan (ok it’s his eldest daughter Millie).
